If memory serves me correctly through the bong-induced fog of my early college years, I seem to recall John Riggins shedding many a would-be tackler in the original Tecmo Bowl as well...

@MC:

Christian Okoye ("The Nigerian Nightmare") was a BEAST in Super Tecmo Bowl. Check out this video:
http://tecmo-blog.blogspot.com/2007/04/not-even-tecmo-bo-could-do-this.html

I was panicked that Urlacher was gonna get the cover this year. Thank god.

Also, Drew Rosenhaus' "Whiney Little Bitch" rating is currently at a 112.

Will they also have the lowest rating ever for Rex Grossman?

The only person ever to compare to Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl is Eric Dickerson in Tecmo Bowl. He's only in the early copies though, because they took him out, presumably, because of his drug related issues.

I'm not talking about stupid Super Tecmo Bowl either. I'm talking "Original" Tecmo Bowl.

Walter Payton was also very damn good, as was Singeltary on D, but no one compared to LT. He was the Bo Jackson of Defense. Ok, enough of my fanboy nerdiness.

Deion Sanders and Randy Moss were the fastest at 99. Does this mean we are going to see a vapor trail on Hester?
How will he compare to Bo Jackson from Techmo Bowl?

You're right, nobody has ever received a 100 rating in any category since Madden's debut.
