Flickr user solaana captured some of the allure of the Signature Room/Lounge at the top of the Hancock. Our out-of-town friend will be descending on the city within a matter of hours, and we think we might have to make a quick stop for one of their overpriced drinks, but priceless views.
After venturing up to the top of the building, however, we hope to take advantage of the warmer weather, perhaps hitting up some open-air drinking establishments. Where are your favorite places to grab a beverage once the temperatures start to rise?

My favorite place to grab a beverage and sit outside, aside from my front porch, is Happy Village. The Pontiac is good for people-watching.
RE; the original post, The Signature Lounge is fun, but if you take your focus off the skyline and look at the little critters crawling on the outside of the windows, you'll leave the place feeling pretty freaked out that spiders actually do grow that large.
Justin's on roscoe/southport has remained one of my favorite beer gardens.
Four Farthings at the hard southwest corner of Lincoln/Cleveland/Dickens.
Sheffields is a good old standby for outdoor boozing, even if the Cub crowds can seemingly take over sometimes. They have one of the best beer lists in the whole city, and a new bar b que menu I've yet to try, but heard is pretty good.
I also like Pontiac because it has a great location.
As for skyline views I would say that though the Signature Room seems to be the place to go, we had an office function up at Cite which was pretty incredible. It's small, but has amazing 360 degree views.
Moody's Pub's beer garden, a blue cheese burger, onion rings and a pitcher of sangria makes me a happy boy.
