Chicagoist is a sucker for old photographs of Chicago, so we were pleased to learn of Shorpy, the 100-year-old photo blog, from Palla Palla. This photo "Wabash Avenue El: 1907" was the first to suck us in. From there it was over. So many great photos of Chicago from so long ago. We also especially love "Southside Easter: 1941" and "Pabst Over Chicago: 1943." The photos of Chicago are our favorites, but we love all of them really. Which photos do you like?

Great pictures. The Chicago History Museum has some great pictures in its Chicago Daily News Archives.
Wow, that's a coincidence. I was at a car wash just south of 16th St. on State last week and I saw that exact same 'Southside Easter' picture. Twice in one week, what are the odds?
This is a wonderful picture.
