.. Really? I've always found food here to be really tasty. Then again, I don't eat chicken beef or pork. The bangkok vegetables are crispy, fattening deliciousness and the shu mai are delicate and come with a perfectly paired dipping sauce.
Huh.

I live in Bridgeport (I grew up in B-port too)and am insulted by the bell at the front door of this restaurant. The nerve! In any event, every time we try to go to T55 it is closed, even though the hours on the door indicate that they should be open. I, personally, have given up on them. :-(

Also please don't say Bridgeport will be Lincoln Park in 5 years. I work in Lincoln Park and it's really annoying and fairly dangerous. The crime rate, rat population and congestion is way higher than in my beloved Bridgeport and I hope it stays that way.

And...31st St. isn't "that far south", ever been to Beverly?..duh!

Go Sox!

Thai places usually don't embrace the "We Delivery" method.

It's a generic Thai carryout place. I've never had a problem with them. They're reliably mediocre.

Strange. I've always have had good experience with this particular restaurant. The curry's are nice and spicy, with plenty of fresh veggies and basil. The soups are my favorite though. They seem to make them to order in a single wok...not just served from a pot that's been sitting on the stove all day. I do agree that this is strictly a take-out/delivery place though.

Bridgeport maybe a trend in the near future, but please no lincoln park comparisons. The whales fans in LP have the constitution of jelly fish. As for T-55 I think this is a commisary kitchen becuase for their other spot. You get the feeling that your not supposed to be there every time you go. Once the door was locked during regular business hours. I knocked and then let me in to order. Very odd

That area will be known as South Lincoln Park in about 5 years. All you need to do is drop off some girls who put their hair up in ponytails, throw on some Purdue on the ass sweatpants and 30 minutes worth of makeup just to get a raisin-walnut salad from the corner.

NSH is right, Matty. My apartment falls within the boundaries of the 312 area code, so my home phone starts with "312". Head south of 31st on the street I live, however, and everyone has a "773" area code.

I find a having a home phone number with a "312" area code beneficial when you're on a first date with recent transplants. They mistake me for living in Streeterville or Old Town until I drop the bomb that I live by "Sox Park."

matty 312 area code south boundary is 35th st. with exceptions to certain neighborhood prefixes. i.e. you could live in Bridgeport and have a prefix that requires 312 and live south of 35th and vice versa.

Or they could be using their cell phone as their main number, which by the sound of this place seems more likely.

when i went in to pick up food, i was met with the overwhelming aroma of bleach and chlorine. i like their curry....and at the very least, i know the food was probably cleaning my insides as it digested.

I only ate here once, but I have to say I loved the spicy basil leaves with chicken. It was super fresh and so so spicy. I've taken to ordering this dish at other Thai restaurants but it never compares.

Late nights at work have provided me with more chances to get Thai from here many more times than I'd like to admit. Greasy Thai food is never all that appetizing. But, if you have to stick it out, go with the curry or pad thai with chicken. Throw in some cold crab rangoon and you're on your way.
