I get shanked every morning on my way to work with stuff people hid up their butt! If I couldn't deal with it I'd move back to Naperville. How dare Zaccaro try and steal county money when this clearly happened elsewhere, and definitely NOT at the jail where people have a motive to do something like this. Thank God Stroger can stand up and represent good government.

Let 'em jack up the property taxes. It will be worth paying through the nose to see the reactions from the people who voted him in and are least able to pay for the increases. Seriously, what planet were Stroger supporters born on?

The shit we put up with in Cook county is second only to the shit we put up with from our leaders in Washington. It disgusts me. Why doesn't anyone call the Toddler a slimy liar to his face. If I saw him I would. Then I'd ask him how his father is doing. "He was so well right after the stroke. And before the primary you said he was doing fine. It's so sad about his backslide." I want to move away from corruption central-Crook County and Daleyville. Any suggestions from the dear Chicagoist on places to consider? I've paid my dues working to bring change but most of the citizens just don't mind corruption. They know its corruption. They even no its wrong and shouldn;t happen. But in the town that kept Capone in business and gave birth to the Daley dynasty they just think its how its supposed to be. Sad really.

You're missing the point. If the County pays disability / workers comp benefits to people who've been injured on the job, there's less money to hire Stroger's dimwit cousins, of whom he appears to have several thousand. The County has to save money somewhere.

Heads should roll for this. If he sues the county will have to pay him millions. Stroger probably has a lawyer buddy ready to sue the county on behalf of this guy so he gets huge settlement and kicks some back to Toddler of course at all us taxpayer's expense. I was at City Hall today what a joke. It's amazing anything get's done in this town. I had to fill one page form to get my answers and it might take them a week or more to get back to me on one dept. and the other the lady was on vacation until thurs. What only one person can do a job over there.

Five bucks says if he takes the county to court and wins, Stroger will offer him a "Hospital Security Consultant" job for $245,000 a year in lieu of a settlement.
