Never mind--Hilton sold it to Thor Equities in '05. Hilton still manages it, but is no longer the owner.

The last remaining vintage Chicago tiki palace, the Palmer House Trader Vic's, closed on New Year's Day 2006; it had been there almost 50 years but the hotel's new corporate owners decided that the Loop needed more underground shopping space. I don't know what your definition of "new" is, but the Hilton Hotels Corporation has owned the Palmer House since 1945.
