If pigeons are flying rats, then geese are flying pigs. And the swan thing is bogus. Come out to Goose Shit Park in Schaumburg by the village hall and see for yourself. I think that the gosling are cute, and when they grow up look cute on a platter too.

You don't need to kill them. Get a pair of swans--they're very territorial and will chase away uninvited guests.

Hi, everyone in Chicagoist-land! For the purpose of education only (and not flaming or blog-baiting or any other insulting behavior), I would like to inform everyone that the correct name for these birds is Canada Geese, not Canadian Geese. My ornithology teacher made sure we were aware of that.

If they don't watch out, their friends might help kill them off, too! Some idiot was feeding a group of geese in the middle of the bike path near North Pond Cafe, just around a blind bend. I very nearly took a few of them out last night... why couldn't he have walked 50 feet into the grass?

Taking a bat to the kids sounds reasonable. If they like to be destructive and witness pain just give them each a mirror.
