Hey, Chuck...
Why don't you pay tribute to the true "beer for breakfast" alcoholics I drive past every day on my way to work with a review of "Best 40oz"? Anyone who can guzzle these things down to the lukewarm suds over the period of a couple hours really loves beer and deserves to know how to pick the best.

Big Up!

Thanks! I'm biased as a native Michigander, but I really do think that MI has one of the best craft brewery scenes in the country right now- Bell's and Jolly Pumpkin are both top 10 breweries in my mind, and Founders, Arcadia, New Holland and Dark Horse are quite good as well. I give JP the nod because their brews are so distinctive, and of such uniformly high quality. I believe that the Bam is actually their flagship, which is even more impressive since it's not dumbed-down at all.

The brewery, more like a garage, is pretty cool. Everything is matured in barrels and the guys will describe in-length their whole process and ideas about craft brewing. Honestly, I haven't had any of their beers since they've been putting them in six packs, but I can tell you their beers like Calabaza Blanca, Bière de Mars, Luciernaga and the Grand Reserve versions of these beers are all wonderful for all occasions!!! Sour and a bit musty are descriptives I've heard thrown around for this Saison, which I will be drinking on Saturday! Thanks for a neat selection, Shawn!
