My car flooded. A day later and after countless calls to insurance, dealership, AAA, and rental car place, I'm going to be out $500 and without the car for who knows how long. The rain roaring off my roof like a firehose was pretty nifty, though.

I've never had water in my basement before, so it must have been a hard rain. Just a little around the edge of one wall so I'm not that worried.

Water flooded the streets and sidewalks and into gardens/basements on barry ave between lincoln and southport. I also saw numerous cars stuck in water over door level well into the evening. Took about 3 hours for the water to drain into the storm sewers. I guess we have rainblockers.
