Spook: I hold a degree in truck driving with a minor in air conditioner repair. I also have lived in both Hammond and Gary. I like the people that live there. I wish they would continue their gene pool here on the north side of Chicago. That would actually be quite cool.

"People who don't like The Taste are stupid." Ahhhhhh no, actually people who like/attend the Taste have over all i.q's that hover around the 15 point range. People who don't like the Taste live in the city, are not associated with street gangs and tend to have academic degrees not related to truck driving and air conditioner repair. Just because the Taste serves as a mating ritual for the above- Street Gang members and those who live in places like Wheeling, Lombard, Hammond, Gary ,etc,- doesn't mean we have to go. Sure its o.k that they spend money in Chicago but the continuation of their gene pool does irreconcilable harm to society as a whole. But enjoy your McDonalds and exotic Turkey leg.

OK, I'm declaring shenanigans! I just looked up the Summerfest line-up, only to see a lot of the same bands playing! There were some cool bands playing there, but there were also some that made John Mayer look hard-core (REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, All Four Original Members of Asia, anyone?) I think I'll stick with the Taste.

People who don't like The Taste are stupid. I know it's crowded, I know it's a little pricey but it brings tourists into this city and tourists mean more money for the city. Summerfest has the music but the food is nothing to write home about. Culver's? Wendy's? C'mon!
