Just an FYI for all you beer drinkers out there, New Belgium has expanded it's line of beers available in Chicago. You can now get Skinny Dip, 1554, Mothership Organic Wit in 12 oz. 6-packs, as well as fat tire in the 6 packs. Stock up on the Skinny Dip, it's only available in the summer!

Why no Bud Select? My guess is because every week Bud Select is the "Beer of the Week" as is Miller Lite and Bud Lite and whatever else is "major label". I'm also fairly certain that the whole point of the "Beer of the Week" post is to turn people on to lesser-known beers that don't have the backing of a multi-national corporation's advertising budget.

Guest 6: Why no love for Bud Select? Why are you so anti-Major Label?

I like lemonade. I like beer. Sadly, I really am not a fan of them together here. I'm trying to find people to foist the rest of my 6-pack onto.

Wow, you're *really* reaching for beers now. They're going to alienate their fanbase, which is girls that don't know better (berry weiss) and guys that don't know better (all other brews). Leinenkugel is a joke, and featuring their poor choice to replace a popular beer with a really disgusting one as the *beer of the week* just goes to show how little they (and you) get...

I was up at the brewery just three weeks ago and i figure that having tasted it here and there i have experienced both ends of the spectrum. In my almighty opinion, i think the stuff is garbage. My friends like it though, so i guess that puts us at 50/50. Nut let's be honest folks - i'd take an Elliot Ness just as fast as a PBR draft.

cheers!

I bought a sixer because it was on sale at jewel, man o' man IMHO it was gnarly. I like the combo of lemon and beer too but this stuff was funky.
