Correction to that last comment. Ruby and Pollack at Chicago mag say Scylla's last day is August 25th.

You have until the end of August to go. Scylla's last day is September 1st, according to Heather Shouse at the TOC blog, who was one of the first to report on the change.

So sad... I'll have to fit another visit in before they close. I remember getting some sort of octopus dish there which was amazing...

Scylla is one of the best restaurants I've been to Chicago, especially for the price. If you get a chance, I highly recommend eating there before it closes...

We kind of saw this coming. The building that houses Scylla has been on the market for a while, but we never expected that a change would be in the works so quickly. How could the chicagoist possibly be so involved with the life of one of many many many restaurants?

just ate here on saturday. great prosciutto-wrapped shrimp. a bit too fancy for my usual taste, though.
