Win Some Sweet Prizes ... Or a Tackle Box

Well, kids, last month you made your thoughts on the state of our lakes heard pretty loud and clear. One group that's on your side is the Healing Our Waters (HOW)-Great Lakes Coalition, an umbrella group comprised of more than 90 organizations that support "healthy lakes, healthy lives."

This summer, HOW is giving you a chance to join with them creatively, either through photographs or written word. As part of their Great Lakes Story and Photo Contest, you can get a shot at taking home $7,500 in prizes, including kayaks and tents (no, thank you) or a digital photo package (yes, please).

Prizes will be awarded in three categories: K-8th grade, high school and adults, so if you have a little Emerson or Ansel Adams in your household that would enjoy a sweet "Plano Magna Pro Series 90239 Tackle System Bag," then get them submitting!

Submissions are accepted through August 20, and all the necessary details can be found on HOW's Website. And, as always, be sure to read the fine print.
