The great Italian restaurant on California and Logan Blvd. is Buona Terra. I like it alot too, especially the butternut squash ravioli.

Coalfire? Really? Sauce is fresh but essentially unseasoned. So is the crust. I thought the pizza was flavorless, despite the crust having a good texture. I give it a C. It's not bad, but certainly nothing spectacular.

El Nandu is another good Logan Square place. The service used to suck, and I hadn't been for a couple of years, but something had changed when I went back a month ago. I've been back twice since, and it's been great. There's a good Italian place on California next to the Starbucks just south of Logan Blvd ... can't remember the name.

Pontiac in Wicker Park. It is so great that there is a neighborhood without any suburban transplants with high paying office jobs.

Ordered Coalfire pizza before. Soggy crust, pizza did not turn out at all like it was described on menu. No thanks, wont be back.

Keep in mind that the GNRs go to restaurants that have been written up extensively on LTH already, with a general agreement on its quality. That is, if you nominate a restaurant that only has a couple posts about it on the site, it probably won't make it.

I love the deli at the new South Loop Whole Foods. It is surpassed only by the deli at the new Boystown Whole Foods. They are both "great finds." People, please patronize them frequently!
