Chicagoist in particular and Cubs fans in general tend to take a sky-is-falling approach to their team, probably because they're hoping to have their martyr gene stroked. It's a slump. It happens to all the guys. It's happened to Zambrano before, and it will happen again. I still say the Cubs are a strong second-place team with a lot of potential to sneak into the playoffs. And I still say that unless they pull some bonehead moves off-season, they'll be brilliant next year.

It is no coincidence that Zambrano (and the Cubs, for that matter) fell into a severe slump when CHICAGOIST STOPPED WRITING ABOUT LOLLAPALOOZA. Clearly what we need to remedy this situation is FOR CHICAGOIST TO GIVE ME MORE POSTS ABOUT LOLLAPALOOZA.
