MAYBE he dropped the car off at a garage for parking downtown, and the attendents were joy riding in it while he enjoyed the day out in the city. What's even a bigger mystery on the Edens this morning is why they decided to do some nifty roadwork (either patching up some spots or surveying) at around 7 or 8 this morning and cut down the 3 way highway to 1 lane during rush hour. . .Who made THAT fucking decision. Took me almost 3 hours to get to Lake Forest from the city this morning. Not to mention, at the astounding rate of 4-6 mph, someone also managed to get into an accident that required a fire truck for assistance. How is that possible?

Just cause he was seen driving does not mean it was not stolen later. Most likely it was him, but lets not post with such authority when the facts are not available yet.

Fleeing the scene was probably a wise move for Mr. Briggs, assuming it was him. He was probably drunk, and thus, has cleverly avoided a DUI.

It's not nearly so accusatory as the story last week suggesting that the husband of the crazy suburban woman who set herself and her kids on fire was somehow responsible for the woman being crazy. Guess he bought her the lighter or something stupid. I vote "stolen."

Thanks for pointing out the broken link -- we saw this story about 5 minutes before we had to leave for work, so the post was thrown up super fast. As for the accusations... we're sorry, but ditching your brand new $350k car on the side of the road rather than calling or waiting for help suggests that he (or whomever was drivng) didn't want to be caught with the car at the time of the crash.
