well as a dog owner who walks all over the city because she doesnt have a car, i'm glad my little 18lb pup will be able to sit under the table while i have a quick lunch on the street. I just moved back from NYC and I never had a problem with a dog in the sidewalk dining, and in summer thats what al-fresco dining is for!
I actually like the scanned, uncropped look. It kind of gives it a more organic feeling - like you know someone actually drew the cartoon and colored it by hand, rather than using some cartooning software.

i'm so thankful my dog finally gave up her 3 pack a day habit. It was getting out of control. I wish she wouldn't of gained so much weight though...
