The main complaint about Lollapalooza weekend is the heat (besides the old timers complaining about noise). Why they can't move the weekend to either earlier in the summer (1st weekend in June) or later in the summer (last weekend in August, sometime in September)? The first weekend in August the past 3 years has been some of the hottest days of the summer, and while you can't guarantee weather, you can plan better.
The first weekend in June normally falls around Blues Fest; the last weekend in August is Jazz Fest. I don't see the city moving those dates at all.
