Urban Legend About ComEd Actually True

2007_09_26_comed.jpgIt’s really happening. ComEd will be issuing credit on customers' bills in October, to the tune of $60 on average.

Customers will continue to see credits on their bills each month until the plan is phased out in 2009, although the amount will be more like $7 after October. The credits will vary, however, depending on how many fans you never turn off. The reprieve is in accordance with the recently signed electric rate relief law, under which the company will pay back half a million dollars to consumers. The law is an attempt to rectify the electric company's, ahem, overzealousness after the ten-year rate freeze lifted.

If you don’t see a credit on your bill, give the company a call to see if you're eligible for a piece of delicious money pie.
