But Canterbury's attorney proved - and the jury apparently agreed, since they ruled in favor of Canterbury - that it was Acevedo who was being drunk and belligerent, then instigated the scuffle, all the while pulling the "don't you know who I am?" routine.

I live in Spook/HDO land, and Acevedo is scum. He's another little skunk who, with an ounce of power, will throw it right in your face. Ask any one of my boys in blue and they'll tell you.

I think the bigger question is why wasn't he arrested! Had he not been a cop he would have been arrested for assulting an officer!

I know I'm just a lowly guest; but when Chicagoist goes 'registered commenters only', can it also ban Ferdy and Spook? Or will they continue to be part of the package that is the dwindling of Chicagoist??

I'm frustrated with Acevedo solely for HB 429. Illinois was already a reciprocal state with regards to wine shipping. This legislation is a power play by the wholesale lobby to ensure they receive the majority of business at the expense of out-of-state retailers and wine clubs. I didn't realize his district went up to your neck of the woods, spook.

Every election I always vote for what ever "no name" person who runs against him. Last lection he had no opposition, so I just left it blank. I've been doing alot of that as of late. Guess its a reflection on the lie called democracy.
