Construction under the bridge is still going on, I drive it every day. You can forget about it during rush hours. South bound backs up all the way from foster to peterson and coming north from elston to forrest preserve drive.

Someone told me that IDOT is telling people to use Skokie Blvd (aka Cicero Ave) as an alternative, which tells me that these people have never had to travel north from the city in the morning -- Cicero/Skokie is always a giant clusterfuck during rush hour, and I'm not sure if they're done with the construction they're doing under the bridge at the southbound Cicero exit. At any rate, looks like I'll be biking to work more than I would care to.

Some guys at my office are so supset at the commute that they are talking about renting an apartment in the city and living there during the week. I actually think they are excited to be like, frat guys again. Thanks IDOT.

Some IDOT guy was on NPR this morning and he said people "should consider taking mass transit." See? Even the IL Dept of Trans knows that CTA/Pace/Metra are crucial.
