Certainly, whomever wrote this, has no understanding of what has or is going on... 1. If you're going to call someone a donkey dick, do it to his or her face, OK? No one called any one a DD. 2. Columbia College prof Reid Hyams was fired after leaving a note for a colleague that said "Jack sucks donkey d[ick]," which Hyams claims is slang for a type of electro-voice microphone. It is not a claim, it is a fact. That is industry slang in pro audio... Many industries have their own slang or nicknames that they commonly use. Additionally, no physical note exists, it was discarded within minutes after it was posted, as it was nothing more than a "joke." 3. Also, the note was changed to read that Jack instead sucks donkey cock, and that's just rude. The note was never changed, the report of the incident was materially incorrect and failed to state what this note actually said... It was misquoted... Perhaps, deliberately? 4. Uh ... we can't believe we had to Google donkey dick. ...and what is the problem with this? You had to actually look something up that you were unaware of to educate yourself? That's why we have dictionaries, references books, Google, etc., I don't understand your problem with this? Finally, this is an insignificant incident where the end results were blown far out of proportion based on a joke... In poor taste or not? This is hardly news worthy, except for the fact that it was mismanaged by the school.

Did I miss something, or do you not have something to say about Nokia buying Chicago-based Navteq. Navteq moved here from, I believe, the Silicon Valley/SF area some time ago, and it is one of the only recognizable tech entities of the new era in the Chicago area. Not really sure if the buyout is good or bad for Chicago, but it wouldn't be such an elephant in the room if Chicago had a bit more new era tech companies.
