That is it, I am not working Looptopia next year. I was very disappointed last year when my shift ended at 2am and there was nothing left to do. I got annoyed and then just went home. Hopefully they will address this problem next year.

I'd rather have the invite in May. The colder it is, the less chance of trouble showing up. They seem to stay indoors. And, I just wish they had more outside vendors for food, drinks, tables for congregating, like a true European city.

From what I saw the crowd was diverse and not very suburban. At least the organization is trying. This was the first year and hopefully they are adressing the issues with lack of activities post midnight. It wouldn't hurt to put it off until June either, given Chicago weather. But I'm sure there will be no love lost if those determined to hate it just don't show up in 2008.

5: If it was really beyond boring, why did you force yourself to endure "every single aspect of it"?

The people in the drama clubs may have been dorks, but I guess you were among the dumbest students in your school, based on the contradiction you offer above.

Be honest: You're just jealous when other people have a good time, right? It's OK.

Looptopia was full of every drama club dork I ever went to high school with. It was beyond boring, and every single aspect of it sucked hard.

FAIL.

spav1: i didn't really see looptopia as a flocking point for suburbia. the people i saw were mostly city dwellers. seeing as how they hardly adverised at all, i doubt many suburbanites even knew about it.

Looptopia is an excuse for suburban kids to drunk somewhere other than the Dairy Queen parking lot in whatever town they are from.

yea funny how folks and organizations get co opted by Darty Daley with the tax payers dollars in his pockets. I remember when Redmoon was in the hood. Then they moved out Logan Square and got all into state street cow parade preformance art
