The Attorney General does not always remove herself from conflicts of interest. Attorney General Madigan is currently representing the entire Illinois Supreme Court in the U.S District Court, Northern District of Illinois case #07cv3289 and she also has pending litigation before the Illinois Supreme Court as well wherein she's a respondent and is representing the state before the court.

I'm confused. Are you disputing the claim of non-jurisdiction from the AG's office?

Surely there is more than one person in the office and the AG can both warn of fraud and prosecute criminals and carry on a host of other duties.

It's pretty sloppy, intellectually speaking, to say that a political institution is incapable of carrying on multiple agendas at once. It's a specialty of Fox News... can't Chicagoist do better?
