When a college friend and some of her friends came to town to run the marathon, I tagged along for their post-race dinner. I'd never before seen whole platters of food inhaled before the server even set down on the table! I'm just going to look at it as another challenge-- after all, the entire training process throws us one challenge after another. I figure that if I'm disappointed in my performance, I can always run again next year, knowing that it'll likely be a breeze. (Watch, it'll be a high of 100 next year.)
