When a college friend and some of her friends came to town to run the marathon, I tagged along for their post-race dinner.   I&apos;d never before seen whole platters of food inhaled before the server even set down on the table!  They really got their money worth that afternoon...&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;I&apos;m really disappointed about the weather, but you&apos;re right that it&apos;s only going to hurt us to freak out about it. I&apos;m just going to look at it as another challenge-- after all, the entire training process throws us one challenge after another.

I figure that if I&apos;m disappointed in my performance, I can always run again next year, knowing that it&apos;ll likely be a breeze. (Watch, it&apos;ll be a high of 100 next year.)
