The company behind that promotion, Chicago-based Varitalk, is back with a similar take on the upcoming Transformers DVD release that lets you send a call from Optimus Prime.

too bad optimus can't read my name, or the names of most of my friends. seems like it's using pre-recorded names, and not text-to-speech capabilities. without a higher level of personalization, this provides little amusement since my friends won't know it's from me, and they won't hear their own names. sucks.
