I also was tempted by the Olmi film, but I have been so disappointed in recent Italian films that I decided to forego it. And the French films this year were deadly1 How two mighty film centers have fallen!

My colleague saw Hallam Foe, not me. You, the Living wasn't bad at all, just a disappointment after Songs from the Second Floor.

Well it wasn't the "Osment" part of the equation that put me off, it was the "high school basketball crime thriller" part. But when you have low expectations, you can be pleasantly surprised and I liked it quite a bit. I'm sure it'll pop up on DVD if nothing else.

Looks like we both saw "Hallam Foe" and "You, the Living." And our opinions are flip-flopped!

Unlike you, I like Haley Joel Osment and had planned to see Home of the Giants (didn't quite get around to it, though, so I'm hoping it'll make the theatres or cable).

It's interesting, Rob, that you have reviewed only one film that I saw. If you want to read my coverage: www.ferdyonfilms.com
