donations to TAILS are definitely needed- this doubled their volume of animals. They set up shop in an airplane hangar to take in the animals many of whom I'm sure have serious health problems now. This also could be an ongoing drain for them as it is possible the animals may have to be kept as evidence in the case (it has happened in the past in animal hoarding cases)

is it bad that i think i might develop that pet hoarding disorder someday!?!? just kidding... but i'd sure love to have more pets if i could in my teeny tiny apartment. too bad this story is so incredibly sad & tragic... thanks for the cute animal pic pick-me-up!

There is apparently a DNA (Do Not Adopt to) list that shelters have access to. That is heartening, but more people need to be added to it & there should be some money invested in TNR & proper shelter management, both of Animal Control and regular shelters.

This story seriously makes me ill. It would be a good idea to donate a few bucks to TAILS Humane Society, as I'm certain this type of volunteer effort is quite costly.
