the main reason we need mailing addresses and the like on entries is in case we need to send physical prizeswhy don't you just ask for the address of the one (or few) person who wins after the fact, instead of asking everyone beforehand? of course that didn't keep me from submitting all my info without knowing the answer :-)

OK, I asked this the last time time I entered a contest and was ignored, but I'll ask again. What do you do with the information collected here? In the comments for the "Guest comments are dead" post, Rachelle said that e-mail addresses are only used to contact the winners. Why then do you need a full address and phone number? And why is this information not included in either the privacy staement or on the individual contest posts? (and yes, I'm asking after I've already given you the info, because you already have it from previous contests, but I'd still like to know what you do with this info.)
