WLIT Greenlights Forman

2007_10_19.melissa.jpg"Secretaries have to listen to something." That's pretty much the best description of WLIT we've ever heard, but changes are in store! Well, changes back at least. As of Monday, ousted host Melissa Forman will back on the air from 5:30-8:30 a.m. Adios, Whoopi Goldberg.

Forman got the heave-ho August 2006 when her morning show was replaced with Goldberg's syndicated "Wake Up with Whoopi," which apparently no one wanted to do — WLIT-FM recently ranked 15th in Arbitron ratings for the area. "The Lite" will be switching over to Christmas music ... oh, any day now.

We could not resist: Forman with a very unwell-looking Bea Arthur, from Melissa's photo gallery. Very loosely related, we're really effing sad this shirt never made it to print.

people actually look forward to the lite's xmas retchathon?

this is why i hate the human race.

As much as I absolutely abhor Paul McCartney's "Simply Having a Wonderful Xmas Time" song, it's nice to know that during the holidays I can switch on WLIT and hear it within the hour.
