Trojan Army On The Streets of Chicago

2007_10_20_USC_Trojans.jpgAnyone walking out an about today surely came across the fans of the USC Trojans. The Trojans play Notre Dame today in South Bend, and it seems like many of their fans decided to make a three-day weekend and fit in some shopping in Chicago. While walking down Michigan Avenue, Chicagoist could barely keep count the number of people sporting crimson and gold.

The two teams will meet for the 79th time today with Notre Dame holding the edge 42-31-5. The Trojans have slipped back to 13th, after a loss to Stanford two weeks ago and a narrow victory over Arizona last weekend. USC and their fans are counting on a victory against a lackluster Notre Dame squad.

John David Booty, the Trojan's regular starter, broke a finger last week and will start the game on the bench. Sophomore Mark Sanchz will lead the team onto the field.

The game will be televised on NBC at 2:30 this afternoon.

I saw a bunch of these people, too, and was wondering what the hell it was all about.

Yeah, and there was about one neck among the lot of them.
