What does this mean:

The project added an extra local lane between 47th and 67th Streets, and an additional lane each way from 47th to 95th.

There are 2 new lanes from 47th to 67th, and one new lane from 67th to 95th?

Just curious I find the wording a little hard to understand.

No, sparky, but I'm cynical and bitter these days about our government.

Did anyone catch Channel 7 news sound bite from Blago? He was cutting the ribbon for the early completion of the Dan Ryan. To paraphrase what he said: With the early opening of the Dan Ryan, I am excited that the working people can get to work on time and can get to their families at night.

In light of what is happening with mass transit in this region, does anyone else find this as funny as I did?

Actually, the Edens hasn't been that bad since the construction started (then again, I get off at Touhy). The past two or three weeks, the outbound morning commute has been VERY fast, once you get past the crush of folks trying to get onto the Kennedy. The inbound commute in the evening has been about the same as normal, even with one lane closed.
