This whole public transit funding imbroglio has me at wits end. I think I have a clue as to why:

Our elected officials are morons.

Wait, before dismissing this as another baseless attack on our leaders know that I have proof.

Just look at the email addresses for these representatives. There are a few who actually have created their own domains for email (props to Saviano and Munson). But seriously, using a aol.com or yahoo.com email address is what I would expect from the guy who sells me kumquats the farmer's market.

It is time our elected officials leap into the 1990's and try to figure out how the rest of the world works.

Should a deal fail to come about by Monday, I have a funny feeling that suburban people will start realizing that mass transit affects them, too.

Don't forget to call the office of Tom Cross, along with the others. He has a lot of power in this, and he has plans to run for higher state office one day.

God, what a pathetic region run by a bunch of hopeless tools. Here's the even funnier part: We are worried about mass transit, and taxes, and all that stuff that affects normal people. Blago and Madigan seem more worried about Lisa--as in who will be gov in 2010. Make no mistake: Mike Madigan doesn't give a shit about mass transit, either, despite his recent acting. He cares about getting his kid into the gov. job. Daley gave up a while ago caring about anyone but the richest Chicagoans, and Jones cares more about Chicago State and ComEd and his pals.

If there was ever a time for muskets and pitchforks ...
