Lotsa burgling going on: Two gunmen robbed the AMC Rivers East this morning, tying up but not injuring four employees. And yet another North Community Bank was robbed yesterday, bringing the total to five robberies at North Community banks in the last two weeks.
Another story of animal hoarding, this time a little closer to Chicago but a lot less severe: An Oak Lawn woman had at least 30 cats and 2 dogs in her home, which has since been deemed uninhabitable because of, all together now, all the feces everywhere.
Police searched Drew Peterson's home today, looking for clues that might help locate Stacy Peterson.
A pregnant woman was shot and killed last night while taking her kids trick-or-treating. Police say Leticia Barrera, 31, was caught in gang-related crossfire on the 4800 block of South Seeley.

As Eric Zorn pointed out earlier today, Barrera was shot while she was out in front of her home and the kids were inside so she obviously was not taking her kids trick-or-treating at the time. The media seems to be really pushing to make some sort of Halloween connection to appear timely, which is rather disturbing.

If anyone here works at a North Community Bank that hasn't been robbed yet, sounds like you might want to take a vacation. Like soon.
Is this an inside job, or are the robbers just fixated on this one bank for some unknown reason?
they're fixated on it because its ridiculously easy to rob from them, apparently.
