It’s enough to make me forget- momentarily- that you are a "Daleyite" ;-) I think more studies need to be done especially with the recent increase suicide in minority communities, especially with young males. Combine this with the level of intolerance in with the Black church and all economic classest. Appalling, especially when you look at the rise of AIDS/HIV in minority communities in America. Yea a couple of important folks are speaking out, including Cornel West and Mike Dyson, who are both members of the clergy as well as public intellectuals. But the amount of hate that comes from the "brown" pulpit is incredible and then the silence(Yea including Sen. O'Bama.)that is now leading to death, beyond HIV. I bet James Balwdin is rolling in his grave.

The word is "spur," not "spurn". Big difference in this case.
