You being pompous is my favorite thing about you. It's like a comedian who says he or she "guesses" they are funny. Boo. They aren't then. Why should I pay attention to them? Still, I should replace it with a word that isn't so ugly, like confident. Also, I'm glad to hear it's not hot.

Not to reveal the secrets of professional journalism, but you could have just ASKED how long it took. About two hours. All in one sitting. Maybe 30 jokes. I'll cop to awkward, but how you tell a joke pompously is beyond me, though I'm not the best judge of that. Of course it wasn't hot in there -- I am certain of that -- so perhaps Alicia's other hunches are similar mistaken. People seem to like it and, as regular readers know, my journalistic motto is: You have to put the slop where the pigs can get at it. Anyway, thanks for noticing so quickly. The Sun-Times is stuck in OS9 for some reason (a QPS upgrade issue?), and are buying all the G3s they can find.

Seriously, this is so, so funny. I didn't notice because I was so distracted at how awkward and pompous he sounded, but now I see he had good reason. I bet it was hot in there.
