Brotherman, I ain't no streets and san, nor am I Bridgeport. Y'all shake a stick at that. Hynes was embarassed once before against Barack, and he played the friends with Barack card to a T. Note that he was the first one who jumped up behind Barack and said he thought he'd make a fine President. Read that again, HE WAS THE FIRST. He isn't going to go head-to-head with Lisa in the Guvnah's RACE (just giving you a word you like to chew on to hijack posts). Hynes is a good man, he actually has a solid record and although I don't think he's necessarily a reformer, he will not risk going head-to-head with Madigan. Madigan isn't red-hot out in the home base of the 19th, but they ain't ready to bump heads on this one, particularly when the redder part of the state (outside of Chicago) is going to be salivating to put whatever Republican emerges into the Guv Castle. Obama is more indebted to the Daley/Joyce/Hynes folks than he is to Lisa, and he knows that.

In the words of John Kass, "Danny wasn't meant to win." He was meant to help propel Barack into the limelight, and keep him out of City Hall.

Take it to the bank Spookie. Hynes is eyeing the Senate, not the Castle.

Nopes, Nopes Nopes B Port

Don't belive every thing your streets and sans buddies say off the back of the truck,I know its hard to belive that the world is alot bigger than the ll ward, which is why your Potentate left for more "diverse" grounds

Hynes is running for Governor and he's even practising smiling. And if O'bama pulls off said miracle he certainly won't get involved in the primary as it would piss of Madigan

Keep Hope Alive Bro!

Blago is a major disappointment. I would've never thought he'd turn out as bad as he has. What a sorry excuse for a governor.

Hynes isn't running for Governor Spookie. If Obama pulls off a miracle and somehow tips Hilary, Hynes is going for the Senate again. Watch Barack put his weight behind Danny, too.

P.Q is cool, but P.Q is done after this term because he refuses to even consider raising money. The few people paying attention will forget about his good deeds when his opponent floods the media market with money.

As LT.GOV. P.Q got elected because of a devided democratic party. Da Speaker and his army were too busy pushing his daughter for A.G,and Mell and his army were too busy pushing baby boy Blago to worry about keeping P.Q out of office, like they did when he rane for SOS, U.S Sen, and LT Gov ten years ago.

But I'm not so sure if this breach with occur again. but who knows, with Hynes pretending that he has enough charisma to be govenor, perhaps Quinn could advance in a Lisa Madigan, Blago,( if he runs again) Hynes split.

Not surprised ... what has the guy done since he has been in office? Illinois politics is pathetic. Does anyone expect anything good to come out of Cook County or Springfield? Between Blago and the Todster we are screwed.Quinn seems out of place in Illinois politics. He seems to care and appears to be competent. Something we haven't seen around here in a long long time.

Quinn can be a bit goofy at times but he does come across as honest and wanting to do the right thing. Blago comes across as a two bit carny huckster always playing the angles. Blago has been hireing questionable people to try and shore up the minority voters. Hispanic terrorist supporter and Giles. Blago also is giving away taxpayer money like its a never ending supply health care for everyone. I dont think he realizes a vast majority of voters in this state go to work everyday and work hard we are sick of corruption and backroom deals even the ones done by his wife the sooner he is gone the better. Mr. Fitzgerald please send blago to Oxford for a few years.

Quinn is a good man. He would make a great governor. Unfortunately, Lisa Madigan has already been earmarked for the position by her pappy, Mike.

Quinn was never really a "party guy," so his apparent distancing from the governor is really just a return to his old self. If Blago does go down before his term ends, it will be interesting to see whether Quinn reverts to being the independent kook (er...maverick) that he was before becoming Lt. Governor.

Indeed smart on his part. I think Blago will have to resign due to being indicted. I bet Rezko is going sing like bird to shave some time off his sentence.

Anyone else notice Pat Quinn distancing himself more and more from Blago lately?

Smart move, Mr. Soon-to-be-governor Quinn, smart move.
