Drew complains about the media but doesn't miss an opportunity to talk with them now that he's realized they're not going away. He genuinely seems baffled as to why people would be looking for her.

Wife #2 said he followed her every move, saying "We had bugs in our house. He put a microphone in our kitchen and taped our conversations. He was cheating so much he wanted to make sure I wasn’t," she said. "His whole thing with us is that, ‘I need to know my family is safe at home and you’re not going to be doing anything you shouldn’t be doing’ — and that enabled him to do whatever he wanted."

Dr. Michael Baden established examined Kathleen Savio's body after it was exhumed in November (wife #3) in a second autopsy. Based on the first autopsy report, Savo's family's concerns and some of the injuries that were still visible, he ruled her death a homocide.

It doesn't look very good for Peterson at this point, in terms of circumstantial evidence, I just hope they find out what happened to Stacy. It seems to me that even without knowledge of what happened to Stacy, he could be charged with Savio's murder. Savio had said to her friends and family that if something happened to her, it would be made to look like an accident, but that Drew Peterson will have been responsible.

I'm still wondering why nobody is talking up the insurance money he got from Savio's death, even though they were in the midst of divorce proceedings at the time of her death.

Spook,

Yes, that was my point . . . he blames THEM and doesn't take any responsibility for HIMSELF. Maybe what changed was his perception of them. Maybe he's a psycho. There are lots of maybes. What made me sick this morning was how he sat there and blamed (1) a dead woman and (2) a missing woman, neither of whom are there to defend themselves, for problems in his marriages to them.

All I know at the moment is that I'm glad as can be that he was first suspended and now "retired" from the police force.

If he says Savio and Peterson were unstable, it's because he made them that way.

I'll take a real interest in this story when Law and Order does a ripped-from-the-headlines story about it.

I didn't watch the interview, but according to the Chi. Trib site's front page, he said the timing of her requests for a divorce was "based on her menstrual cycle."

Wow. Even if he didn't kill her, he's an A-1 Douchebag.

Reasonable doubt in a court of law is MUCH different than reasonable doubt on this blog.

If he was smart enough to hide the body well, he will probably get off.

sorry to do this, but this needs to be repeated

"He thinks( won'ts us to belive) that his wife ran off with another man... abandoning her children and her family, and in the middle of a nation wide media blitz, she isn't calling *anyone* to say she's okay??! Give me a f'ing break... seriously."

Yes, he's innocent until proven guilty. But it's beyond *reasonable* doubt, and man, if half of the stuff coming out is true, the doubt gets less and less reasonable each day. If they arrest him he shouldn't take the stand in his own defense. He does not come off well...

"Please, could you possibly have some sort of emotion about a woman that you were married to..."

You're asking him to get in touch with his feelings? Is this a bad sitcom?

Drew Peterson's turning out to be a real piece of work. Did anyone read the story where he outed an undercover operative to a convicted killer under investigation for dealing drugs?

This man scares me. Why would I look for someone that I don't believe is missing? Please, could you possibly have some sort of emotion about a woman that you were married to and is the mother of your children? I guess once one of your wives dies the whole worrying about where your latest wife is doesn't mean much. Nice try, Peterson.

Takes a lot of balls to go on national television and say stuff like... "I can look you straight in the eye and say I have nothing to do with either of those instances."

I wonder what happened to his first two wives? I wonder if he exhibited a pattern of abuse with them as well.

I saw the interview this morning and despite having already showered, felt like I needed another shower after seeing him. I felt sorry for Matt Lauer.

When asked about his relationship with wife #3 and wife #4 he described them both as romantic in the beginning - they'd go places, do things, have fun, etc., but then with both of them, things changed. With wife #3 it was after she had kids, then SHE changed and wasn't interested or fun, etc. With wife #4, it was after her sister died and SHE changed and became emotional, disinterested, etc.

All I could think was (1) have you not heard of post-partum depression? Maybe wife #3 suffered from that or maybe spending a day changing dirty diapers and listening to screaming babies sucked romance out of her. and (2) wife #4's sister died? Don't you think she was probably in mourning? If my sibling died, I'm not really sure I would recover without some serious mental health assistance. (3) Interesting that all the changes were in THEM, never in HIM.

And what in the hell was he doing running around with a 17 year old (wife #4) when he was 47 and still married to wife #3?

Sleazy old man.

Oh, and a lot of men who beat their wives use that "she's where she wants to be" (aka she pushed me to it, etc.) kind of logic to justify their grotesque actions.

I say he killed her.
