Spook, having met Mr. Brookins on a few occasions, I can attest that he is a very likeable guy. However, I don't plan on ever being his landlord.

He is one of many minor players in town who seems to be trying to boost his name recognition with a hopeless (for him) political race. Why else is running? Did someone put him up to this so he can the split the vote among African-Americans? The guy has absolutely no chance.

Anyway, I haven't made up my mind who to vote for. Although I am Republican, the State's Attorney's office is one that can have a Democrat, as long as it's a Democrat that is not TOO beholden to the machine. One can dream.

Does this mean the "Chicagoist" isn't throwing its support behind HowHow, because they didn't even mention that he was running for States Attorney?

That pics a keeper though! I'm wondering who the "Up" brother's as in "Ward" and "Fed" are going with the for Cook County States Attorney? I was trying to get over Brooking's sleazy look and feel, but now its kinda hard. Hummmm I wonder where he got that sleazy look and feel from? Perhaps his father, former state sen and funeral home director Howard Brookings Sr.?
