US-bashing fantasy film "Redacted," in which US soldiers are portrayed as heartless rapists. lol, What do you call guys who commited premeditated gang rape on a 14 year old girl, and then set her on fire, killed her parents and 5 year old sister? I wonder what you'd call them if it happened to your daughter, wife or family? Better do your patriotic duty and let them do it right? Support the troops. I haven't seen the film but I know the events that it's supposed to be about (mahmudiyah killings), do you doubt they happened or something?

Cuban partially bankrolled and promoted the US-bashing fantasy film "Redacted," in which US soldiers are portrayed as heartless rapists. Maybe he will make films like that about the Cubs opponents. He could show gang-rapists in Mets uniforms going wild on a bunch of pre-teens. That would fire up the Bleacher Bums. Sounds like the perfect owner!

Well Tony, it's obvious you're a bitter White Sox fan who can't have a normal conversation. Zell doesn't care who the team is sold to but if Cuban is the highest bidder he has an obligation to the stockholders to sell it to him. It might also be hard for MLB to vote down the sale of the team to a financially stable billionaire who already owns another successful sports franchise. And I don't even care if Cuban buys the team. Sure he's turned the Mavs around but they've yet to win a title under him.

I doubt if Zell cares who the team is sold to - and is exploring ways to get the most from the team/urine drenched stadium/cable deal. It very likely could turn out that the owner of the team is not the owner of Wrigley. That being said, the MLB ownership committee has to approve the owner first. Then the vote is sent to the remaining 27 teams, of which 75% must approve before the sale would take place.

If Cuban is the highest bidder it's going to be tough for Zell to say no. That's not a Cubs fan dream, that's anti-trust law. Zell has stockholders to consider and he has to serve them. if MLB shuts out the highest bidder that draws unwanted attention to the fact that they are a trust.

He could if he is the highest bidder. If you know Mr. Zell at all it's all about the highest bidder so I Cuban steps up to the plate with 1.5 billion he would be an owner. Zell won't let MLB push him around and doesn't give a damn about the insiders here in Chicago that want it.

I too remember when those seats were only a few bucks. Take the bus, bring a cooler, total cheap afternoon. Boy how times have changed. I went to the Bulls game last night and the face of my ticket was $120. Glad I got it for free.
