I wish CNT could become "the Mayor" Think about it CNT as a collective could run city hall! Those folks are brains! I haven't even read the post because Im fiending for a beer, but when I see their name I know its a smart idea, yo!

Attention residents of Chicago, particularly the 47th Ward: Thank you for shoveling your sidewalks. The civic pride is tremendous. However, please please PLEASE salt your sidewalk after you shovel it. If you don't, the little snow that's left melts in the sun and re-freezes into a thin layer of black ice, which is much more treacherous than the original 5 inches of snow that you shoveled. Thank you.

explain this then: what about when your block is full of multi-unit buildings? one of the reasons i live in one of those is so i don't have to shovel anything.
