<p>I likes ya style # 6

but Poppycock yo! America has always been bout a bout "scince for science sake"

We have always been scientifically hyper, like the Talking Heads said , “my girl friend is better than that” about not just science, but the technological innovation and productivity that follows, making us bigger and better than every body else! But remember how back in the day brotha Herman Melville described Captain Ahab’s big boat and his false leg! "Technologied down" like Nike, put the swoosh sticker on the side of it cause the West is the best, get here and will do the rest!

But where did all that technological advanced boat get the Captain and his crew! To the bottom, as in Davy Jones’s locker! You feel me? And if you wanna really get down all socratically, intellectually and sh*t, can we have a talk about what really drives our science? I mean is it driven by science for sciences sake, like that song said "she blinded me by science", or blinded and driven by USA market mentality? Like rolling with the pharmaceutical industry, military defense, etc, etc,

Cause "you can drive a pick up all over the world, you can drive an air-ah plain in the pouring rain, but it don’t mean noth’n with out the grace of Jesus!"

Now excuse me while drop off some laundry and take Truth for a walk through the park whilst having a bit of the tail of the dog that bit me last night, cause tis the season, so if you see a me in the streets, Holla at ya Spook!

<p>Spook:

Science for sciences sake is still a worthwhile pursuit, regardless of whether it is improving the environment and improving race relations or merely illuminating a piece of the puzzle that is the physical world we live in. There is room for physics yet among the lauded scientific pursuits -especially as what they were doing at Fermilab was not related to a money making venture (which makes it's mere existence so remarkable in this day).

Are you looking for strictly renumerable outcomes from this project? A good social scientist would not be so short sighted as to distregard the work done at Fermilab because you don't get to impliment it in your new phone.

<p>"And our country's increasing disregard for science continues"

Disregard for science! Hell what the Jameson drink’n Sam Hill on pop sickle stick do we regard?

And as far as those scientists go, honestly I would only have sympathy for those of the 200 who besides for being scientists (as noble a calling as it is) are doing something else to bring about real social and or environmental justice and change in this f*cked up country that has no regard for any body but the wealthy.

Seriously at this point I honesty believes that if you are not part of the solution than you are part of the problem, Doctor. Lawyer, Indian Chief, or Scientist.

Hellfire, lots of people( with no PhD's) are being laid off and worse! I mean where is the Chicagoist post about that Stupid Gangsta Bush bailing out the Bankers but not the foreclosed on masses! And if any of those scientist are republican, then like Tupac, I'm laughing at em, call me Scrooge if ya wanna. People are too silent doing their little jobs and not saying nothing.

Now as far as those "Negro" Party promoters go, inserting the race card into their materialistic bling bling party bull sh*t! They should be publicly whipped so their friend Jesse L. Jackson can really have an issue to “protest”, cause I know they all be friends, just like the E 2 club owners he had the temerity to defended.
What would Harriet Tubman say?

o,k Scratch that, they should be whipped and then place in the same cage as the poor tigers!

Damn I'm thirsty! When is five O'clock gonna get here!

<p>it's interesting that fermilab was totally blindsided, as there is that supermega atom crusher that's being built in europe and might render a lot of fermilab sort of obsolete.</p>

<p>Party promoters, I totally feel you.

One time I wanted to throw a bitchin' party where everyone hops in a time machine and bow hunts a T-Rex while the whole time Flosstradamus spins in a specially built tree fort.

But the stupid CPD (Time Squad Division) said "No way, Jose... you'll interrupt the time stream and then we'll have a wacky series of events where Chimpanzees will rule the Earth and bananas will be our only currency."

Stupid Time Police, ruining all my fun :-(</p>
