I like it. Have Kreskin stare at Peterson! Remember when Conan O'Brien and Andy Richter would have those grueling stare-downs. I would love to see a Kreskin-Peterson match.

Or The Amazing Kreskin could be there to actually interpret subtle, subliminal cues, but that is something any good detective has already mastered. So, I think Kreskin is there for Orwellian shock-and-awe effect. Also, he is a "mentalist", not a "psychic".

But yea - to agree with the point above - the law enforcement agency should just stand the 73 year-old up on the front lawn with his hand on his forehead. From there he could crawl around underneath Drew Peterson's psychological skin, simply by his mere presence.

But I hope this is not some sort of indication that investigators are getting desperate.

This whole story has been one circus act after another, with media performers like band leader Greta Susterin conducting her lawyer panel, and Dr. Michael Baden's exhume-the-ex-wife trick.

But haven't other cops killed their wives? This sort of case seems very rare media-wise.

I disagree. I think that the best tactic would be to have this Kreskiin guy follow Peterson around and stare at him....like he's on to him.

I think that this would eventually start freaking Peterson out and then maybe he'll trip up, make a mistake or something and maybe lead to some kind of breakthrough on the case.

It can't hurt. I would think the police dept. would take any kind of help they could get at this point. They shouldn't be thumbing their noses up at anything.

Finally, a police agency that has the brains to realize that psychics & mentalists are as phony as a three dollar bill!
"Kreskin has acknowledged that he has no paranormal powers, though he's undoubtedly a master of interpreting subtle, almost subliminal cues from people." From Wikipedia.

For an expose of him,
