I really respect the Siskel center for looking out for the appearance of impopriety. Contrast this to Mike Huckabee sweating it out at mega-churches promising to soldier on for jesus.

Besides, the movie is totally campaign propaganda, perhaps not blatently, but Axelrod will use any platform possible to get his guy out there. The Gene made the right call on this one.

FT: If a NFP is a 501(3)(c), and you endorse a candidate, this is considered campaigning. The NFP can lose their exempt status if they engage in campaigning. Because Siskel is technically part of the School of the Art Institute, and the Art Insitute is NFP, they don't want to take the risk. It makes sense.
