Our pal Ben spotted this Chase ad at the Jackson red line stop and noticed that, despite touting the bank's new Chicago locations, the sign had some local geography issues.

Like listing intersections in New York, not Chicago. 54th & 3rd, Bowery & Division, 39th & Broadway, Delancy & Essex, 27th & Park, 42nd & Columbus, 47th & Madison, Canal & Varick, 53rd & Park.... yeah, those aren't here.

It seems like a lot of companies have trouble with streets in Chicago (do we remember the Macy's on State issues)? I was watching some style program on TV a while ago, and they did a little blurb on Chicago. The girl they had hosting the bit was raving about shopping on Halsted Avenue. Ack! How hard is it to fact check streets?
But Halsted does have quite a few stores and stuff between Armitage and North...
My favorite Chase is the one below HOW-ston.
i don't think olivia was commenting on the available shopping options on halsted (much more than just those 4 blocks btw), but saying halsted is a street, not an avenue.
I wonder how people in New York would treat a Chicago based company that was as careless.
I mean, after watching Sex and the City don't we all just want to live in NYC?!
You can always tell an out of town ad agency created it when the ad has "Halstead St." in it.
If you are so offended, you can switch banks pretty easily. Last I read there were like a LOT of other options out there.
hold the outrage -- it was intentional.
