Welcome Back Barry

Even though Barack Obama came in second last night in New Hampshire, he's still number one in Chicago. In fact, the City by the Lake loves Obama so much that we're throwing him a $1000-a-plate fundraiser "Welcome Home" dinner this Thursday. Peoples Gas Co. President Desiree Rogers will be hosting Obama in her Gold Coast home on January 10. Also listed on the invitation are some of Obama's more monied backers, including developer Neil Bluhm, Commonwealth Edison President Frank Clark, Hyatt Hotels heiress Penny Pritzker, Ariel Capital Management founder John Rogers Jr., and Democratic money man Lou Sussman. One-time rival for US Senate and #1 Obama Superfan Dan Hynes is also listed on the invite.

While the Obama campaign is hardly short on funds, his campaign has no doubt burned through tremendous amounts of cash in the last few weeks trying to secure the Democratic nomination. A quick fund-raising trip to Chicago now can't hurt, and will give many who haven't had the chance to kiss his pinkie ring a chance to show their support.

Welp I guess this is why O'Bama did ZERO as a Il. state Senator to support a percentage of income( PIP) plan that would have reconnected the 70 thousand house/families holds in Illinois with no heat and lighths during the winter and summer by
establising a mandatory reconnection and letting low income house holds pay their utility bills according to their income as oppossed to paying what he/we pay.

Then as a U.S Senator when Com Ed's rate hike came up. He's legislative director said " The Senator dosen't get involved in State issues"

Sucka makes me sick yo!

Yea he's all about change.... Ka ching!

And the agent of change keeps on keeping on.

Yeah, I know, politics takes a shitload of money. But perhaps I would believe all this change bullshit from Obama and his robots if, you know, he actually did things a bit differently.

As if any other candidate is any better?

Seriously, this is the status quo, it works alright. Maybe we should just deal with it.

Well, if this is the status quo, we'd best not make waves, right? Letting less-advantaged people live without heat in the Chicago winter has worked for years, why change now? All the politicians are going to sell themselves out and whore themselves, so why don't we just pick the one with the least experience. Hey, who doesn’t love promises of vague non-specific change? I'm really glad that Obama's health care plan is also vague. If he actually spelled out, what he wants to do, we might see that there are better candidates.

The status quo is very comforting.

It's possible that BO didn't support the PIP plan for reasons other than corporate whoredom. The appearance of compromised priorities is not evidence of the same.

Blago is Emil jones making and Emil is solidly in com eds pocket. Com ed has given hundreds of thousands to E Jones to block the repeal of rate hikes Emils son in law is also on com ed subcontracts. I wonder if Obama benafactor tony Rezko will be there. I bet some of obamas wifes friends from Uof C hospitals will be there to make sure there tax fee status isnt linked to actual service provided to the community.
