Do you crave comedy with a side of pancakes? If so, The Lincoln Lodge, located behind the Lincoln Restaurant in Northcenter, will get your carb-filled belly jiggling.
In the mullet-like tradition of “business in the front, party in the back”, the forefront Lincoln Restaurant serves up some of the best diner food in town. But in the back room, the party rolls all weekend as The Lincoln Lodge showcases some of the most uproarious young comedy acts around.
Tonight the Lincoln Lodge welcomes back one of its former fixtures for this weekend’s stretch of comedic chaos. Micah Sherman will be performing stand-up Thursday and Friday night during a variety show hosted by local up-and-comer Carrie Callahan. Always a versatile comic, Sherman used to be a staple of Chicago’s underground comedy scene, performing frequently not only as a solo act at the Lincoln Lodge, but at various comedy venues with his performance troupe, Chuckle Sandwich. Since moving to Boston in 2005, Sherman became a regular on the main stage at Improv Asylum. His acting chops even landed him a few TV commercials, including one for east coast chain D’Angelo’s Subs in which he chased around Red Sox star David Ortiz dressed as a giant sandwich. Only Sherman’s future E! True Hollywood Story can determine whether this will be considered his big break.
Currently Micah Sherman performs all over the Northeast and can be found most Thursday nights at The Comedy Studio in Cambridge hosting a show with comic Myq Kaplan, aptly titled The Micah Myq Club.
Tickets are still available for both nights at the Lincoln Lodge, so get ‘em while they’re hot. And while you're at it, snag some pancakes too.
Thanks, Alison!

Comedy at the lodge is great. They serve huge beers cheap and the post-show drink-a-thons at nearby Resi's Bierstube are rife with all manner of drunken hijinks ... or so I've heard.
Didn't this place shut down 'cuz of rats awhile back?
Micah is awesome. That is all.
yes, bernard. the health department closed that place for a while a few years ago
Love love love the Lincoln on Lincoln.
Did I read something where someone said "The Lincoln" on Lincoln @ Irving Park has "good" food. I guess you like getting an average breakfast floating in 1 1/2 inches of grease? It's sadly disgusting.
The decor is nicely untouched for many years, but the food is awful. And I'd really hate to sit through the sad spectacle they call "comedy" in the other room..
