Free Warmers, In a Sense

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Jan 24, 2008 4:01PM

2008_01_mk.jpgOver the holidays we received some lavender tincture from John Kinder, the sick talented bartender/mixologist at mk (some readers might remember Kinder from his days at moxie).

Yesterday Kinder sent us an e-mail offering a warmer for even the coldest of witch's tits. They're offering guests a complimentary hot toddy when the temperature dips below freezing. Since it feels like zero degrees Kelvin outside, today certainly qualifies.

Here is Kinder's hot toddy recipe, to further entice you to layer up and head out into the ice planet Hoth:

Hot Toddy (served in a riesling glass)

¼ oz. Brandy
½ oz. Spiced syrup (cinnamon, cloves, lemon and orange zests)
1 oz. African red tea (i.e., rooibus tea)
GARNISH: Lemon zest

Pour ingredients into glass and garnish.
