Hold Your Horses, David Schwimmer Fans

On Tuesday, Chris Jones reported in the Trib that David Schwimmer was coming to Chicago to do Our Town at Lookingglass. Turns out...not so much. As apparently Schwimmer himself posted in the comments for the story.

Snip:

I did not, in any way, definitively say I was participating in Our Town, chiefly because I myself don’t know how events will unfold over the next 6 months. I wanted to clarify this for those readers who may have been mislead by the article. I appreciate the kind words Chris has written recently about our company, and would like to apologize to him, too, if he misunderstood or misheard me over the intermission clamor.

Jones replied in a comment of his own,

Obviously, Mr. Schwimmer and I recall that conversation slightly differently. And the above item was also based on a chat with the good folks at Lookingglass.

Rather than post a Schwimmer photo--we all know what David Schwimmer looks like, duh--we're posting this clip of My So-Called Life's production of Our Town. Good luck not crying. (And note the presence of Mr. Katimski, played by Steppenwolf's own Jeff Perry.)

It's very melodramatic and well-acted, but there's obviously an importance to the subtext that isn't evident to someone not familiar with the episode.
