Ugh! I've always hated the Chicago Wolves logo -- not the wolf, but the giant hockey puck behind it, which looks like a runaway truck tire.

that chicago cardinals logo has got be the worst one

What, you don't think pasting two pieces of clip art together takes talent?

I am pretty sure the Shamroxx have only been around for a year or two. While I agree that the name is terrible, it was a 21st century mistake, not an 80's mistake.

When I was young, the "Indian" on the Blackhawk's logo had a stern look to his mouth. No smile.

Then, with no fanfare, the mouth developed a slight smile. It seemed like a subtle nod to political correctness.

I could picture Bill Wirtz saying, "Put a smile on that Indian. We don't want to get in any trouble!"

Even though I feel real queasy about the Native American imagery and the history behind Blackhawk in Illinois, it really is a classy logo. Especially when you look at Cleveland's Indian, the name "Redskins", or Atlanta and Florida State's "Tomahawk Chop".

And why is just about every logo from the 80's on feel like some over-corporate, built-by-committee debacle? The "Heat"? The "Shamroxx"? The "Ice Dogz"? Their needs to be a little imagination behind some of these.

How could you leave out the Windy City Rollers? Also, the Chicago Force has a pretty sweet logo, too.

The Blackhawks logo is certainly one of the most admired logos in all of sports. Nobody who knows anything about sports history would argue that.
